Is there an age limit to sign up for Jump?

Two partners have asked this question during the last few days, so that probably means there are 20 or more who are uncertain.

The answer is quite straightforward.

The Skinny Jump team at Spark has not set any age limit; key principles underlying Jump are ‘high trust’ and ‘no barriers’. So there is no rule about age limits.

My advice has always been for partners to exercise discretion and common sense when a young person asks for a Jump connection. I suggest you ask who will be paying for the top-ups and make sure the account is set up in that person’s name.

We all know that young people are pretty ‘digi-savvy’, but they might not be so ‘finance savvy’, so it is good to have this conversation with them. It is also good to ask them what they plan to use the internet for and check out that they understand what 35GB is good for. If they are thinking about hours of video streaming and online gaming, they might be quickly disappointed.
